Peer Review Process
In the manuscript review process, a double-blind review is conducted, where the author does not know who is reviewing the manuscript, and conversely, the reviewer does not know who the manuscript owner is. This is done to ensure that the manuscript review process can proceed objectively. Therefore, the editor must not inform the authors who the reviewers are, and conversely, the editor must not inform the reviewers who the manuscript owners are, in order to maintain objectivity. If both reviewers give the manuscript a decline status, another reviewer will be added. This is done to maintain objectivity and provide opportunities for the author regarding their manuscript. The author's manuscript is sent to peer reviewers after the editor first reads, corrects, and checks whether the manuscript is ready for review.

Publication Ethics
1. Reporting Standards: Authors must provide an accurate presentation of original research reports and an objective discussion of their significance. Researchers must present their research results honestly and without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation of data. A manuscript must contain sufficient details and references to enable others to replicate the research. Fraud or deliberately presenting inaccurate data is unethical and unacceptable behavior. The manuscript must adhere to the journal writing guidelines applicable at SABDA.
2. Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that they write entirely original works. The manuscript must not be submitted to more than one publisher simultaneously, unless there is approval from the editor for joint publication. Relevant previous works and publications, whether by other researchers or by the author, must be properly acknowledged and referenced. Primary literature should be cited if possible. Original words taken directly from publications by other researchers must appear in quotation marks according to standard citation techniques.
3. Duplicate, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication: Generally, authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is considered unethical, unscientific behavior as it is unacceptable. Several publications stemming from a single research project must be clearly identified, and the main publication must be referenced.
4. Acknowledgment of Sources: Authors must acknowledge all data sources used in the research by citing them. Proper acknowledgment of others' work must always be done.
5. Article Authorship: The authorship of research publications must accurately reflect the individual contributions to the work and its reporting. Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported research. Others who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. The authors also ensure that all authors have seen and approved the submitted manuscript version and the inclusion of their names as co-authors.
6. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: All authors must clearly disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may be interpreted as influencing the outcome or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed.
7. Fundamental Errors in Published Work: If the author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in the submitted manuscript, the author must promptly inform the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the manuscript.
8. For Field Research, the author is required to present a research certificate from the location that is the focus of the research before the manuscript is published.
9. The SABDA Journal encourages prospective authors to use up-to-date scientific references from the last 10 years in English & Indonesian. We encourage authors to use a percentage of 70% scientific articles and 30% books.
Plagiarism Checker
To maintain and ensure the authenticity of the manuscript, every manuscript submitted to SABDA will be checked for similarity using the iThenticate software from Turnitin. The maximum allowed similarity threshold for the manuscript is 20%. Manuscripts that exceed the 20% similarity threshold will be returned for revision before entering the review stage by the SABDA reviewers.
