Abstract

ABSTRACT

In this study, the theology of hope is viewed from the perspective of the modern world, which is plagued by uncertainty in social and spiritual matters. This research focuses on the post-secular era, characterized by the return of religiosity to the public sphere amidst a crisis of meaning. This article explores the theological understanding of Christian hope based on biblical foundations, dogmatic reflections, and pastoral implications. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach using literature review and systematic analysis of theology. The findings of this study indicate that Christian hope is not only eschatological and transcendent but also plays a prophetic and transformational role in addressing the dynamics of a plural and fragile world. Hope serves to maintain faith, build social reconciliation, and provide a humanistic ethic worldwide. Therefore, the study found that the theology of hope is very helpful in understanding Christian faith and participating in building a more just, peaceful, and hope fulfuture.
